Today PortlandLabs announced Jessica Dunbar will join their team as Technology Evangelist. Jess brings more that 10 years of significant experience in the CMS space. PortlandLabs is the company behind concrete5, one of the world's most popular open source content management systems (CMS). Concrete5 is used for everything from government and educational websites to blogs and custom apps.
Jess joins PortlandLabs as a Technology Evangelist to teach the world about the power of concrete5. In her new role Dunbar will leverage her years of leadership within the open source community to further expand the project. Jess will work closely across all of the teams and collaboratively within the industry to ensure that concrete5 continues to drive developers, designers, and users to experience one of the worlds largest content management systems. Jess comments, "Success hinges on contributors, who have enabled the CMS to grow. I look forward to working with the core team and contributors to further educate the world on concrete5. I am fortunate to be joining such a respected company that prides itself enabling people to collaborate together to build a great CMS.
Prior to joining PortlandLabs Jess was a System Administrator at Trivera. She was also Marketing Lead and on the core team for Joomla. Most recently, Dunbar was responsible for Promoting the use of Joomla CMS and Framework to community members. She was responsible for coordinating the production of the Joomla CMS and Framework, including code, documentation, marketing, and localization. Jess has spoken at numerous events around the world and was featured in the European edition of Web Designer Magazine.
