In the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, Major Arnold Strong saw not only devastation and destruction, but also a serious need for improved communication between the relief troops and the worried folks at home. Immediate action was called for and Concrete CMS answered that call. Within two days www.JTFPontchartrain.org, the official website of Joint Task Force Pontchartrain (JTFP) was up and running with service members posting pictures and reports from New Orleans.
The site is a community driven photo and story blog where anyone can quickly create an account and start submitting content. There are easy ways to create multiple photo galleries for each member, and stories and photographs can be cross related. Even months after the hurricane, we routinely receive requests from the press to use these candid photos in their own media.
