Community of Writers is a teacher support program (K-12) dedicated to improving student writing achievement by improving the quality of writing instruction. Concrete redesigned what was a out of date static informational site, into a rich community driven application that will grow over time.

A yahoo-esque link tree was designed and populated by Concrete staff with content for Teachers, Writers, and Students. Functionality any visitor can access provides an easy mechanism to rate the quality of links and submit new ones. With over 500 links and lesson plans already posted, this area is quickly becoming a valuable resource.

The administration staff now also have simple to use tools for managing the content across the whole site, and the branding has been updated to compliment its position in Portland’s non-profit arena.
